Waverley Mills blankets is committed to ensuring sustainable and ethical practices and resources at every stage of production. Waverley Mills ensures to use only natural and/or recycled fibres which are biodegradable and sustainably sourced. They also aim to minimise waste and create a closed-loop manufacturing process whereby they make quality recycled wool blankets from their own up-cycled offcuts, yarn and second-hand blankets. For 50 years, Waverley Mills was powered by hydro-electricity from nearby Distillery Creek. We are working to reinstate hydro power and to add solar power to the mill’s operations.
Situated on the idyllic banks of Distillery Creek in Launceston, Waverley Mills provides local job opportunities and supports Australian Made and Owned products.
